Street Child United has once again teamed up with our friends at People’s Events to offer you the challenge of a lifetime – all in support of our work using the power of sport to improve the lives of street children around the world.
In an Olympic year, we’re heading to host-city Rio de Janeiro to take on the Rio 3 Peaks challenge: 3 mountains, 2000m, in just 12 hours finishing at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.
As part of the challenge you’ll see first hand how your support is making a difference to young people at risk of the streets with a visit to our Safe Space Project in Complexo da Penha, north zone of Rio where we use football to provide alternatives to the violent drugs trade.
Join the Rio 3 Peaks Challenge team in November 2016 and hike across rainforest, through favela communities and climb up rock faces to help street children change the negative way they are seen and treated worldwide.
The 2016 Rio 3 Peaks Challenge will take place on Monday 21st November with the trip being between Friday 18th November and Wednesday 23rd November.
All you need is to be relatively fit, a team player, and be able to raise a minimum amount in sponsorship.
If you love a challenge, are looking for adventure and want to support Street Child United all at the same time, then we want to hear from you. Complete the application form by 31st August to be in with a chance to join our team for 2016.
Please note: Successful applicants will have to pay £195 deposit and fundraise £2500 for Street Child United. Flights, accommodation and some meals are included. Full terms and conditions can be found here.
